In the spirit of generosity and goodwill, the Grinch read Dr. Seuss' famed children's book, How The Grinch Stole Christmas! in front of twenty-five Garden of Dreams children and officially kicked off a charity book drive in support of the Garden of Dreams Foundation. The children also created two-sided Grinch masks as part of the Children's Museum of Manhattan's holiday programming that will be featured at the museum's dedicated-Grinch workshop exhibit, opening on October 20. Also, the Grinch's Holiday Workshop opens tomorrow – October 20th, running through January 6th. MSG Entertainment and the Children's Museum of Manhattan (CMOM) have teamed up to host a holiday book drive this year to benefit the Garden of Dreams Foundation, a non-profit charity that works with all areas of The Madison Square Garden Company, to make dreams come true for kids facing obstacles. Patrons who attend this year's holiday production of Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical and/or visit the CMOM are encouraged to donate an unused book to the Foundation.

The Garden of Dreams Foundation does what no other charity in the world can do: it uses the power of MSG's personalities and properties to create unforgettable programs that enhance the lives of kids and their families. The Madison Square Garden Company has worked tirelessly to help fulfill Garden of Dreams' mission to brighten the lives of children who are facing life challenges – whether they relate to illness, homelessness, poverty, foster care or tragedy. Because of these efforts, which often involve unprecedented access to celebrities, events and venues, Garden of Dreams has been able to impact more than 215,000 children and their families since its inception in 2006.

Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical will play at The Theater at Madison Square Garden from Thursday, December 13 through Sunday, December 30, 2012.
