The Hollywood Arts Council celebrated their 27th Annual Children's Festival of the Arts with a salute to Paramount Pictures' 100th birthday on the grounds of the historic Hollywood studio this past Sunday, August 12th. DJ Casey McCabe of AMP Radio 97.1 FM served as Master of Ceremonies for the fun-filled free event. Check out photos from the celebration below!

A cake-decorating contest was held among local bakeries in the region on the theme of Paramount Pictures' 100th birthday. Jovia and Norik Panos of Panos Pastry in Hollywood, CA took first place in the cake-decorating contest, with second and third place taken by Gabby Interiano of Raffinee Catering Events and Floral Designs of Culver City, Calif.

Nicole Carcel, Senior Field Representative for Assemblymember Mike Feuer, Majority Policy Leader, 42nd District, presented a Certificate of Recognition on behalf of the Assemblyman to the Hollywood Arts Council. Also in attendance at the event were: Congressman Adam B. Schiff, representing California's 29th District, Councilmember Tom LaBonge, representing Los Angeles' 4th District and D'Janine Lasky, great granddaughter of the late Jesse L. Lasky, one of the founding fathers of Paramount Pictures with the late Adolph Zukor.

Celebrities who came out to the Festival to greet their legions of fans included: Austin Anderson, Brennan Bailey, Jonathan "Jazz" Biggs, Looney Tunes' Bugs Bunny, Preston Bailey, Zach Callison, Allie Carlton, Madison Carlton, Trent Carlton, Victoria Grace, Joby Harte, Jacob Houston, Leah Lewis, Katherine McNamara, Casey McCabe, Matthew Scott Miller, Tina Q. Nguyen, Zacahary Alexander Rice, Jennessa Rose, JuliAnna Rose, Brandon Tyler Russell, Dylan Riley Snyder, Adrian Kali Turner and Tara-Nicole Azarian.

Performers in this year's Festival included: Plaza de la Raza Folklorico, Stunt Kids of Hollywood, Russian Entertainment Unlimited, Jim Gamble Puppets, Korean Classical Music and Dance Company and Nu Pan Groove. Workshop Artists included: Jenny Nissenson, "Puppet Workshop," Kids Art, "Drawing Tutorials," Patty Sue Jones, "Japanese Wind Socks," Howard Marshall, "Styrofoam Block Printing," Quan Yen Trang, "Pet Butterflies," Gayle Gale, "Fruit and Veggie Masks," Nicola Vruwink, "Paper Pinwheels" and Imani Afi, "Dream Catchers."

The Hollywood Arts Council is a community-based organization founded in 1978 to promote, nurture, and support the arts in Hollywood. The annual Children's Festival of the Arts is one of many projects and events presented by the Council to enhance the quality of life in the city. The Council's projects also include Project SOAR (Students Overcoming All Risks), an after school art program presented in Hollywood area elementary schools.
