Photo Coverage: Katrina Lenk Debuts as 'Arachne' in SPIDER-MAN

Last night, May 29, Katrina Lenk joined the cast of Broadway's SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark in the role of "Arachne". Christina Sajous, who had currently played the role of "Arachne", played her final performance on Sunday, May 27th. Reeve Carney, Patrick Page, and Rebecca Faulkenberry continue in their roles as "Peter Parker/Spider-Man", "Norman Osborn/Green Goblin", and "Mary Jane Watson" respectively. Katrina Lenk's credits include: World Premiere of Lost Land at the Steppenwolf Theatre; American Premiere of iWitness at the Mark Taper Forum; Elemeno Pea,Cloudlands, and Caucasian Chalk Circle at SouthCoast Repertory; the title role in Lovelace: A Rock Opera, for which she won LA Weekly and Garland awards; and her solo music project, moxy phinx.
SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark has been seen by nearly 1 million audience members from around the world over the past year and features music and lyrics by 22-time Grammy® Award-winners Bono and The Edge, direction by Philip William McKinley (The Boy From Oz), original direction by Tony® Award-winner Julie Taymor (The Lion King, Across The Universe, Frida), and a book co-written by Taymor, Glen Berger (Underneath The Lintel) and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Fantastic Four and Spider-Man comics, "Big Love"). Scenic Designer George Tsypin and Costume Designer Eiko Ishioka were recently nominated for Tony® Awards.
Peter Parker's ordinary teenage life takes a turn for the extraordinary when he's bitten by a genetically altered spider and suddenly finds himself endowed with incredible superpowers.
