The 27th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards were handed out on May 6, 2012 at NYU Skirball Center, in a ceremony that once again benefited the Actors Fund and honored the best of Off Broadway. BroadwayWorld was of course on hand for the festivities, and we take you backstage for photos of this year's winners and presenters here!

"Submissions Only," Broadway's favorite behind-the-scenes sitcom, wrapped its second season on April 27 with an all-star guest line-up like none before. Guest stars for Episode 8 included Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Nick Jonas, Harvey Fierstein, Kerry Butler, Jackie Hoffman, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Lea DeLaria, John McDaniel, Molly Ranson and cast members from the Disney Broadway hit, Newsies. Nominations for The 57th Annual Drama Desk Awards were announced on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Feinstein’s at Loews Regency by Drama Desk Award winners Brian d’Arcy James and Donna Murphy, with Death Takes a Holiday, Follies and Nice Work If You Can Get It leading the pack. May 8, all of the nominees were celebrated at a special reception and BroadwayWorld was there to capture it all. Check out full coverage here!

Topher Grace and Olivia Thirlby co-star in Second Stage Theatre's production of Paul Weitz's world premiere comedy, LONELY, I'M NOT, directed by Trip Cullman. Preview performances began Tuesday, April 10 at Second Stage's Tony Kiser Theatre (305 West 43rd street). Nominations for the 30th Fred & Adele Astaire Awards, which recognize excellence on the Broadway Stage and in film, were announced by New York Post Theater Critic Michael Riedel at a reception at the Lamb's Club on May 7. In attendance was Elena Roger,Ashley Amber, Bahiyah Hibah, Matthew Broderick, Michael Riedel, Krystal Joy Brown, Leslie Odom, Jr., David Noh, Lisa Nicole Wikerson and more mingling at the gala! The Public Theater this week announced complete casting today for AS YOU LIKE IT, the first show of the 50th Anniversary season of free Shakespeare in the Park at the Delacorte. Directed by Daniel Sullivan, AS YOU LIKE IT will begin previews on Tuesday, June 5 and continue for four weeks through Saturday, June 30, with an official press opening on Thursday, June 21. Megan Hilty and Rachel York star in the Encores! production of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, opening tonight, May 9 at New York City Center. Gentlemen Prefer Blondes is directed by John Rando with music direction by Rob Berman and choreography by Randy Skinner and will play for seven performances, May 9 – 13, at New York City Center, 55th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues. On May 8, the cast of Broadway's GHOST visited New York Citiy's 14th St. Apple Store for a performance and discussion. The event featured cast members Richard Fleeshman (Sam Wheat), Caissie Levy (Molly Jensen) and Da’Vine Joy Randolph (Oda Mae Brown), and a live performance of songs from the original score composed by multiple Grammy Award winners Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard. James Goldman and Stephen Sondheim’s Follies, which was just nominated for eight Tony Awards, began previews on May 3 at 8 p.m. at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre. Performances of the exclusive Los Angeles engagement of the Kennedy Center’s critically acclaimed Broadway production of Follies will continue through June 9, 2012.
