Reeve Carney and the cast of SPIDER-MAN TURN OFF THE DARK celebrated Green Goblin Patrick Page's birthday onstage at the Foxwoods Theatre at the curtain call, with a surprise appearance by Paige Davis (Mrs. Patrick Page, "Trading Spaces"), on April 27. On Monday night, BROADWAY SINGS ADELE featured over 15 cover songs to celebrate the pop superstar's greatest hits, accompanied by a full band orchestrated, arranged, and music directed by Joshua Stephen Kartes. Performers included Brandon Victor Dixon, Matt Doyle, Morgan James, Carrie Manolakos, Julia Mattison, Andy Mientus and more. Click here for more photos from the concert!

A long-standing opening night tradition on the Great White Way, the fabled Gypsy Robe is bestowed upon a veteran Broadway chorus member for each opening production. In what has now become a theatrical ritual, originating on Broadway 60 years ago, it was just presented to LEAP OF FAITH "gypsy" Dennis Stowe. For more photos from the ceremony click here.

The 2012 Tony Awards Nominations Announcement was co-hosted on Tuesday morning by Tony winning actress Kristin Chenoweth and Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actor Jim Parsons. The Tony Awards will be broadcast in a live three-hour ceremony from the Beacon Theatre, on the CBS television network on Sunday, June 10, 2012. Click here for more photos from the announcement!

On Monday, April 30, The New York Pops marked its 29th birthday with a grand gala evening titled ‘Journey On’ honoring Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, the Tony Award-winning and Oscar-nominated songwriting team of such renowned Broadway musicals as Ragtime, Once On This Island, Seussical, My Favorite Year, A Man of No Importance, The Glorious Ones and the feature film Anastasia. The Encores! production of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, opening May 9 at New York City Center, stars Megan Hilty as Lorelei Lee, the diamond-loving blonde made famous by Carol Channing (Broadway) and Marilyn Monroe (film). Gentlemen Prefer Blondes will be directed by John Rando with music direction by Rob Berman and choreography by Randy Skinner and will play for seven performances, May 9 - 13, at New York City Center. La Jolla Playhouse's Hands on a Hardbody will run through June 17, 2012 in the Mandell Weiss Theatre. The world-premiere, commissioned musical has a book by Pulitzer Prize winner Doug Wright (I Am My Own Wife, Creditors), lyrics by Amanda Green (High Fidelity), music by Trey Anastasio (lead singer of the popular band Phish) and Amanda Green.
