On Thursday evening, Sing forHope (www.singforhope.org) presented "Salon SFH: If Music Be the Food of Love" at the organization's new Office/ArtSpace at 575 Eighth Avenue.

The intimate musical soirée celebrated Sing for Hope's programs that bring the transformative power of the arts to schools, hospitals and communities in need. It also raised awareness for Sing for Hope's Pop-Up Pianos, the organization's public art project that brings pianos to New York's parks and public spaces each summer and then donates the instruments to the schools, hospitals, and communities served by Sing for Hope's outreach programs year-round.

Sing for Hope Volunteer Artist T. Oliver Reid - a Broadway veteran of ten productions who is currently appearing in "Sister Act" -- joined pianist Eugene Gwozdz inselections from his acclaimed new solo album "Do I Love You". He shared his experience volunteering with Sing for Hope's students, and Sing for Hope Co-Founding Directors, sopranos Camille Zamora and Monica Yunus, spoke about the organization's "arts peace corps" work in under-resourced areas.

In attendance were many of Sing for Hope's inner circle of patrons and board members, including Spotify's Gerrit Meier, film editor/owner of jumP and Manic Luis Moreno, Vivaldi Partners CEO Erich Joachimsthaler, Carlos Rodriguez of Rodriguez Studio Architecture (whose firm designed the SFH ArtSpace pro bono), Gracenote CTO Ty Roberts, as well as members of Sing for Hope's Roster of professional artists who volunteer in the organization's outreach programs in underserved communities.

The event was generously sponsored by Frankly Wines http://www.franklywines.com/, MarieBelle Chocolates http://www.mariebelle.com/,and Driscoll's http://www.driscolls.com/index.php, who curated special wine/chocolate pairings reflective of the event's "love" theme. The evening reflected the energy and passion of the organization, which, in the words of Sing for Hope Board Member Renée Fleming,"is dedicated to bringing the healing power of art to those who need it most."
