Nick Jonas, currently starring in the Broadway revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, was joined by Charlotte St. Martin (Executive Director of the Broadway League), Jordan Roth (President of Jujamcyn Theaters and Founder of Givenik.com) and Bret Pidgeon (General Manager of Madame Tussauds NY) to kick-off a pre-theater party for KIDS' NIGHT ON BROADWAY® ticketholders at Madame Tussauds New York. The longest-running show in Broadway history, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, offered its 10,000th performance last weekend as a special benefit for The Actors Fund. Winner of seven 1988 Tony Awards including Best Musical, the show is based on the novel by Gaston Leroux. It tells the story of the hideously deformed Phantom who lurks beneath the stage of the Paris Opera, exercising a reign of terror over its occupants. For more photos from the celebration, click here.

Second Stage Theatre's opened Paula Vogel's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE, directed by Kate Whoriskey and starring Norbert Leo Butz and Elizabeth Reaser on February 13. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE explores the complex relationship between Li'l Bit (Elizabeth Reaser) and her Uncle Peck (Norbert Leo Butz), as a series of driving lessons progresses from innocence to something much darker. 19 cast members of the original 1981 Broadway production of Stephen Sondheim’s MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG, including leading actors Lonny Price, Ann Morrison and Jim Walton, were reunited at New York City Center for a reception and performance of the City Center Encores! production on February 14. The appearance featured an emotional curtain call and a cameo by Stephen Sondheim himself! Check out more photos from the celebration here.

Next week on the winter finale of GLEE, things heat up as the New Directions go head to head with the Dalton Academy Warblers at Regionals. Included in the upcoming episode, titled 'On My Way' will be: 'Fly/I Believe I Can Fly,' 'Cough Syrup,' and 'Glad You Came'. GLEE will return to FOX on April 10. Following its critically acclaimed, sell-out run at Chichester Festival Theatre, Jonathan Church's new production of Singin' in the Rain opened on Wednesday at the Palace Theatre. Church's production of Singin' in the Rain, with choreography by Andrew Wright, is based on the classic 1952 MGM film and is produced in the West End by Stage Entertainment UK and Chichester Festival Theatre. The Stratford Shakespeare Festival’s hit production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, directed by 2-time Tony Award winner Des McAnuff, opens March 22, 2012 at the Neil Simon Theatre.The cast features Paul Nolan as Jesus Christ, Josh Young as Judas Iscariot, Chilina Kennedy as Mary Magdalene, Tom Hewitt as Pontius Pilate, Bruce Dow as King Herod, Marcus Nance as Caiaphas and Aaron Walpole as Annas. William Shatner's SHATNER'S WORLD: WE JUST LIVE IN IT ust opened last night, February 16, and will play through March 4 at the Music Box Theater on Broadway before embarking on a national tour. With a career spanning more than 7 decades, Mr. Shatner's career in entertainment and philanthropy work is unparalleled by any other Canadian born entertainer. Newsies will move to Broadway's Nederlander Theatre for a strictly limited 101 performance run this spring, following its critically-hailed run at Paper Mill Playhouse in fall 2011. The musical, featuring a score by eight-time Academy Award® winner Alan Menken and Jack Feldman, and a book by four-time Tony Award® winner Harvey Fierstein, will play its first Broadway preview on March 15th prior to its March 29th opening night; the final performance is scheduled for June 10th.
