It was appropriate that Amanda McBroom and Michele Brourman clasped each others hands in jubilation at the end of Amanda's cabaret show "Strange Days". It is not very often that I've heard such a unity exist between accompanist and vocalist. Michele was not just a supportive partner, her playing perfectly augmented the genius of Amanda McBroom. Of course both Amanda & Michele are both songwriters and they have an uncommonly warm collaboration which made it a truly magical evening.

The song list consisted of 14 songs of which 9 were written by Amanda (2 of them with Michele). They take you through a myriad of emotions, hilarious laughter to deep and haunting sentiments. For those who were fortunate to be at the Metropolitan it was a magnificent conclusion to the Cabaret Convention week.

Amanda McBroom will continue at the Metropolitan Room October 24, 25, 27 and 30th
