Roundabout Theatre Company presented its annual 2011 Spring Gala honoring Emmy Award winner Alec Baldwin last night, March 14.

Alec Baldwin is one of the most accomplished actors of his generation. In addition to his extensive film & television success, Baldwin is an acclaimed stage actor whose commitment to theatre extends beyond his own work with his support of the not-for-profit cultural community, including companies like Roundabout. Roundabout is proud to honor Mr. Baldwin with the Jason Robards Award for Theatrical Excellence. He will be joined by current & former co-stars from stage & screen for a special evening created by director Scott Ellis at Roseland Ballroom (239 West 52nd St, NYC).

Mr. Baldwin became part of the Roundabout family in 2004 when he starred with Anne Heche in the Broadway revival of classic comedy Twentieth Century. He returned to Roundabout in 2006 to star in the Off Broadway revival of Joe Orton's Entertaining Mr. Sloane. Since then he has appeared in many developmental readings, helping Roundabout search for the best new plays and revivals to stage. He also devotes time and money to Roundabout, helping us to provide artists at all stages of their career with a theatrical home.

Roundabout Theatre Company's 2011 Spring Gala featured several one-of-a-kind experiences, followed by a special musical tribute to Baldwin. The evening included performances by Jane Krakowski, Audra McDonald, Debra Monk, Bebe Neuwirth, Martha Plimpton, Cheyenne Jackson, Andrea Martin, Charlotte d'Amboise, Jason Daniely, Melissa Errico, LaChanze, Marin Mazzie, and Karen Ziemba
