My Favorite Things, benefiting The Trevor Project, was held on Monday, January 3, 2011 at downtown's Les Poisson Rouge.

Drexel D. Heard, II hosted the benefit with performances by Lucas Steele (Threepenny Opera), Matt Doyle (Bye Bye Birdie, "Gossip Girl"), Matt Shingledecker (West Side Story), Tim Young (next to normal), Daniel Quadrino (Bye Bye Birdie), Krystina Alabado (Spring Awakening), Alexandra Socha (Brighton Beach Memoirs,), Kevin Shotwell (Bye Bye Birdie), Katie Gassert (Rated SRO), and Spring Awakening Krista Pioppi (Spring Awakening), composer Joey Contreras ("Love Me, Love Me Not") and Darius Anthony Harper.

According to their mission statement, "The Trevor Project is determined to end suicide among LGBTQ youth by providing life-saving and life-affirming resources including a nationwide, 24/7 crisis intervention lifeline, digital community and advocacy/ educational programs that create a safe, supportive and positive environment for everyone." The project recently released a series of videos featuring celebrities reaching out for it?s "It Gets Better" campaign.

Will Van Dyke, who just released his debut album "Chasing The Day," served as the evening's Musical Director. My Favorite Things was being presented by Ryan Flynn and Maria Theo.
