Broadway star and vocal powerhouse, James Barbour, opened the New York engagement of his six-city Concert Tour at Birdland Jazz Club. Last night, he was joined by Broadway vet Merwin Foard. Barbour will take the Birdland stage again tonight with guest artist Morgan James.

The 2010 Holiday Concert Tour played The 142 THROCKMORTON THEATRE in Mill Valley, CA, (Sunday, December 5), THE MAGIC CASTLE in Hollywood, CA (Monday, December 6 and Tuesday, December 7), a private Fundraiser for the American Cancer Society in Morristown, NJ (Friday, December 10), and will play a Special Fundraiser for the Hawaii School for the Deaf and Blind at the PACIFIC CLUB in Honolulu, Hawaii (Monday, December 27).

Mr. Barbour's annual Holiday Concerts are sold-out events of vocal magic and audience exaltation. They have become part of the entertainment landscape in New York City. Each concert features Special Surprise Guest Stars and a program of the most exhilarating Christmas and Holiday songs in the American Song Book.

James most recently starred in the world premiere of Nightmare Alley at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles. He has also starred on Broadway in A Tale Of Two Cities (Sydney Carton) for which he was nominated for Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle andDrama League Awards for Best Actor, Carousel (Billy Bigelow), Jane Eyre (Rochester, Drama League Award Nomination), Beauty And The Beast (Beast), Urinetown (Lockstock), Assassins (Czolgosz), and Cyrano The Musical. He was part of the original National tour of The Secret Garden and starred as ?Lancelot? in Camelot opposite Jeremy Irons (Hollywood Bowl) and Michael York (National Tour). He co-starred in Lewis And Clark Reach The Euphrates (Mark Taper Forum), the world premiere of 20th Century (Signature Theatre) and has appeared in many other regional and Off-Broadway productions including A Tale Of Two Cities at the Asolo Theatre for which he won the Sarasota Magazine Award for Best Actor, Back From Broadway (which he also co-produced and for which he received an LA Weekly Garland Award) and he was nominated for an LA Ovation Award for The Ghost And Mrs. Muir at the NOHO Arts Center in Los Angeles.
