Broadway's smash musical MAMMA MIA!, based on the pop hits of 70's super group ABBA, officially kicked of its 10th Anniversary Year by lighting two brand new glittery disco balls that have been newly installed on the iconic Winter Garden Theatre marquee on Friday, October 22. The new principal stars of MAMMA MIA!, who begin performances that very evening, activated the switch to illuminate the disco balls for the very first time. BroadwayWorld was on hand for the event and brings you photo coverage below.

On hand to celebrate from the cast were MAMMA MIA!'s leading lady "Dynamos" stars Lisa Brescia, Judy McLane and Gina Ferrall, "Sophie" and "Sky" Liana Hunt and Corey Greenan, and  "Dads" John Dossett, Patrick Boll and Clarke Thorell.

Seen by over 45 million people around the world, Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus' global smash hit musical MAMMA MIA!, is celebrating over 3,700 performances as it enters its tenth smash hit year at Broadway's Winter Garden Theatre, and remains among Broadway's top selling musicals.

The originAl West End production of MAMMA MIA! is celebrating 10 years and over 4,000 performances in London, an international tour has visited more than 40 foreign cities, and the blockbuster feature film adaptation, produced by Judy Craymer and Gary Goetzman, is the most successful movie musical of all time grossing $600 million worldwide.
