Photo Flash: First Look at REENTRY at Live Arts Theatre

What really happens when the soldiers come home? That's the question asked by REENTRY, the season-opening show for Live Arts Theatre's 5th season. Scroll down for a first look at the cast in action!

The theme of the season is "Welcome Home," and REENTRY is the perfect kickoff. Playwrights Emily Ackerman and K. J. Sanchez interviewed over 100 people: military personnel, spouses, parents, and more to arrive at an accurately unflinching picture of life on the home front. REENTRY has played to rave reviews not only Off-Broadway, but at Qauntico, Camp Pendleton, Walter Reed, and other military installations around the country.

As you might imagine, a show dealing with Marines just back from active duty contains some harsh language. Due to this, Live Arts is suggesting that REENTRY is best viewed by those 16 and older, and wants to make sure that parents ensure their children are ready for a frank discussion of war. It's this matter-of-fact realism that makes the show special, says Director Martin. "I think it will be an evening that is not going to necessarily leave you with the 'warm fuzzies', but you will leave laughing, crying, and with a more realistic view of what people returning from war have to deal with"

The cast features Jeff LeCraw, David Vahedi, Jordan DeMoss, Joanna Meyer and Shani Hawes.
