Laurel Mill Playhouse, located at 508 Main Street in historic Laurel, MD., presents A Murder is Announced by Agatha Christie adapted for the stage by Leslie Darbon. Directed by Mark Allen and produced by Maureen Rogers, this mystery opens March 19. Below are rehearsal photos of the production.

The announcement in the local paper states time and place of a murder to occur in Miss Blacklock's Victorian house. The victim is not one of several occupants, temporary and permanent, but an unexpected and unknown visitor. What follows is a classic Christie puzzle of mixed motives, concealed identities, a second death, a determined Inspector grimly following the twists and turns, and Miss Marple on hand to provide the final solution at some risk to herself in a dramatic confrontation scene just before the final curtain.

Produced by special arrangement with Samuel French LTD., performances run weekends through April 11 with Friday and Saturday evening performances at 8 p.m. There will be two Sunday matinees on March 28 and April 11 at 2pm. Tickets are $13 for general admission, $10 for students (18 and under) and seniors (65 and over).

For reservations, please call 301-617-9906 and press 2. For further information visit the web site at www.laurelmillplayhouse.org.
