Last night, February 8, Second Stage Theatre hosted their annual All-Star Bowling Classic Fundraiser at Lucky Strike Lanes and Lounge. For over 20 years, stars of stage and screen have come out to bowl in support of Second Stage's award-winning seasons and to assist the theatre in its fund-raising efforts.

Among the bowlers this year were Chloe Sevigny, Tony Shalhoub, Bobby Cannavale, Paige Davis, Ari Graynor, Dylan Baker, Jessica Hecht, Bree Williamson, Erika Christensen, Brooke Adams, and Tony Shalhoub, Kate Mulgrew, and Mike Woods, among many others.

Second Stage Theatre gives new life to contemporary American plays through 'second stagings'; provides emerging authors with their Off-Broadway debuts; and produces world premieres by America's most respected playwrights. Second Stage Theatre is nationally known for its dedication to educating teens about the art of contemporary theatre and encouraging their participation in the cultural life of New York City. For three decades, Second Stage Theatre productions have launched the successful careers of numerous directors, actors, playwrights and artists, many of whom regularly return to work at Second Stage. The company's mission also has expanded to the commissioning of a body of multigenerational plays; the creation of a training base for young directors and a home base for mid-career directors; and the development of educational projects that are integrated with the ongoing artistic work at the theatre.

Second Stage is currently running Douglas Carter Beane's MR. & MRS. FITCH, starring John Lithgow and Jennifer Ehle and directed by Scott Ellis.  For tickets and more information, visit www.2st.com.
