The North American Touring Company of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Moulin Rouge! The Musical is now in rehearsal at Open Jar Studios. The show premieres March 19th in Chicago at the James M. Nederlander Theatre.

The Human Race launches its 2015-2016 Eichelberger Loft Season with the smash hit THE FULL MONTY: THE BROADWAY MUSICAL. With a book by Tony Award winnerTerrence McNally and music and lyrics by Drama Desk Award winner David Yazbek, the hilarious and heartwarming story follows six unemployed Buffalo steelworkers who, in need of quick cash and low on prospects, come up with the outrageous idea to put on a strip act after seeing the local women's wild enthusiasm for touring Chippendales dancers. Opening night is tomorrow, September 11. The company of the Munchkinland tour of Wicked just welcomed Alyssa Fox as Elphaba and Liana Hunt as Nessarose in Greenville, SC. Fox and Hunt join a cast that includes Carrie St. Louis as Glinda, Kristine Zbornik as Madame Morrible and John Davidson as The Wizard.

After a sold-out run at the Canal Room, 'The TRL Generation' brought its wildly successful 'Broadway Loves the Spice Girls' concert uptown to 54 Below on January 13th. The 'Girl Power'-filled song and dance extravaganza was musically directed by Benjamin Rauhala, directed by Kyle Fox, and produced by Shoshana Feinstein. Today, DreamWorks Animation and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment in partnership with National Association for Music Education (NAfME) donated five $10,000 grants to help save music and arts programs in schools across the country. In celebration of the Shrek The Musical, now available on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD, DreamWorks Animation and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment invited one of the winning schools, Baldwin Hills Elementary, to a surprise check presentation at Sweet! LiveWire Chicago Theatre kicks off its 2012-13 season with the Chicago premiere of THE MISTAKES MADELINE MADE, a savagely funny story of love and dirty people by Elizabeth Meriwether, creator and writer of the hit FOX sitcom New Girl and Heddatron, and directed by LiveWire Collective member Krista D'Agostino. This quirky dark comedy plays now through November 3, 2012 at the Greenhouse Theater Center Upstairs Studio, 2257 N. Lincoln Ave. in Chicago. The production features LiveWire Artistic Director Joel Ewing and LiveWire Associate Artistic Director Chris Zdenek with Kristin Collins, Fred Geyer and Hilary Williams. Hosted by Steve Jones, THE X FACTOR made its highly anticipated debut last week on FOX. THE X FACTOR judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, L.A. Reid and Nicole Scherzinger began their search for undiscovered talent 12 years old and over - both solo artists and vocal groups - who are worthy of the largest prize in television history: a $5 million recording contract with Syco/Sony Music. This week the judges travelled to New Jersey for auditions.

BENGAL TIGER AT THE BAGHDAD ZOO is a new American play by Rajiv Joseph starring Robin Williams in his Broadway acting debut and directed by two-time Tony Award nominee Moisés Kaufman. Recently Tony nominated for Best Featured Actor (Arian Moayed), Lighting Design (David Lander) and Sound Design (Acme Sound Partners & Cricket S. Myers), the production opened March 31, at the Richard Rogers Theatre. Last night, the production received a special visit from stage and screen favorite Helen Hunt.
