The Broadway community mourns the loss of acclaimed director, producer, writer, and performer Mike Nichols, who passed away on Wednesday evening at age 83. The marquees of Broadway theatres in New York were dimmed in his memory on November 21st, at exactly 7:45pm for one minute. Seattle Musical Theatre is celebrating the 50th anniversary of one of the most beloved musicals in history, nine-time Tony Award winner FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, music by Jerry Bock, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, and book by Joseph Stein. With Director Scot Charles Anderson at the helm and with music direction by Mark Press and Nancy Press, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF runs tonight, November 7, through November 23, 2014 at Seattle Musical Theatre at Magnuson Park.
