The Most Happy Fella on Stage Videos - Off-Broadway

On Day 8 of 30 Days of Tony we celebrate the man behind Mean Girls, Casey Nicholaw, who is nominated this year for Best Direction of a Musical and Best Choreography!

The Old Globe's presentation of Kiss Me, Kate, the classic musical comedy featuring a book by Sam and Bella Spewackand an iconic score by Cole Porter, is a spectacular revival in collaboration with Hartford Stage, choreographed by Peggy Hickey and directed by Hartford Stage Artistic Director and former Old Globe Shakespeare Festival Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak, who won the 2014 Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical for A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, which made its world premiere at The Old Globe and Hartford Stage in 2013. The Old Globe engagement runs now through August 2, with opening night tonight, July 9, on the Donald and Darlene ShileyStage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT)'s upcoming production of LES MISERABLES, directed by Terrence Mann and starring Mann as Inspector Javert, a role he originated on Broadway and for which he received his first Tony Award-nomination, begins later this month. Performances of LES MISERABLES begin on May 28, 2015 and continue through June 7, 2015 at Connecticut Repertory Theatre's Harriet S. Jorgensen Theatre. Tony winner Laura Benanti is soon set to return to the stage in the The New York City Center Encores! production of Frank Loesser's The Most Happy Fella- running for seven performances, April 2 - 6, 2014. The production will star Benanti, alongside Shuler Hensley, Cheyenne Jackson, Heidi Blickenstaff, Brian Cali, Bradley Dean, Zachary James, Jay Armstrong Johnson, Jessica Molaskey and Kevin Vortmann. The world premiere production of the brand new musical comedy Bullets Over Broadway, written by Woody Allen and based on the screenplay by Allen and Douglas McGrath for the 1994 film, will begin preview performances tomorrow, March 11 and officially open Thursday, April 10, 2014 at The St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street). The world premiere production of the brand new musical comedy BULLETS OVER BROADWAY, will begin preview performances on Tuesday, March 11 and officially open Thursday, April 10, 2014 at The St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street).
