Anna Kendrick hosted last night's episode of Saturday Night Live. Kendrick began the night channeling Belle from Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Before breaking out into song, she stated, 'I got my start in musical theatre. When I was ten, my dad took me to see Beauty on the Beast on Broadway and I just knew I wanted to be up there, so to be here on this New York stage is so incredibly exciting. It just feels like something out of a story book.' Later on, she did a Little Mermaid skit in which she played Ariel and sang modern day pop songs. Check below to watch both clips!
Disney's The Little Mermaid, the hit Broadway musical based on the popular animated film, opened July 10 at Wells Fargo Pavilion for a two-week run through July 22. This Disney family favorite, part of the 2012 Music Circus season, features the popular songs "Part of Your World," "Under the Sea," and "Kiss the Girl." Tickets start at $30 for all performances, with specially-priced children's tickets available in any seating section.
