Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley announced today that as part of 'Stars In The House's' 'Plays In The House' series, Leslie Uggams will star as Madame Arcati in a reading of BLITHE SPIRIT, presented in support of The Actors Fund with special permission from the Noël Coward Foundation.

It was just announced by Pulitzer Prize Administrator Dana Canedy that Michael R. Jackson's A Strange Loop has officially won the 2020 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. This year's finalists included: Will Arbery's Heroes of the Fourth Turning and David Henry Hwang and Jeanine Tesori's Soft Power.

The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati (TCT) has been awarded The Sara Spencer Child Drama Award, by The Southeastern Theatre Conference (SETC). The award recognizes the work of an individual or organization for dynamic and engaging work for young people. Nominees can excel in such areas as playwriting, performance, audience development, curriculum development, funding, scholarship, community programs, research, television programming, creative drama or other enrichment programs at their community, state, regional or national level.

Wayward Theatre Company is committed to bringing work outside of traditional theatre settings, allowing audiences to engage with texts and spaces in new and exciting ways. Next up on Wayward's site-specific docket is the award-winning comedy The 39 Steps, by John Buchan and Patrick Barlow, at the Minnesota Transportation Museum in Saint Paul.

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival today announced new program alignment and leadership for its newly renamed OSF Artistic Engagement department, which continues lifelong learning, audience expansion, and community engagement through its existing programs. The newly launched OSF Artist in Residence (AiR) program provides an array of collaborative opportunities and experiences with OSF's teaching artists. Robert C. Goodwin is now Director of Artistic Engagement: Education and Community; Kirsten Giroux is Associate Director of Artistic Engagement: Education and Community Curriculum & Instruction; Russell Zook is Associate Director of Artistic Engagement: Education and Community.

Today, the Metropolitan Opera announced its 2020-21 season, the first in which Yannick Nézet-Séguin assumes his full breadth of musical duties as the company's Jeanette Lerman-Neubauer Music Director, conducting six productions. The Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers is pleased to exhibit the oil painting Two Peasant Women (1928-30) by Kazimir Malevich, a loan from the Moscow-based cultural project Encyclopedia of the Russian Avant-Garde, through May 17, 2020. The painting welcomes visitors at the entrance of the museum's George Riabov Gallery, which features Russian art created from the 14th century to the early 1950s.

Lileana Blain-Cruz, winner of two Obie Awards (Suzan-Lori Parks' The Death of the Last Black Man in the Whole Entire World and Jackie Sibblies Drury's Marys Seacole) stages the play in her TFANA directing debut, the first Off-Broadway revival of Fefu and Her Friends since American Place Theatre's 1978 staging. Fefu now plays on the Samuel H. Scripps Mainstage at TFANA's home, Polonsky Shakespeare Center (262 Ashland Place, Brooklyn), through December 12, 2019, with four performances added Tuesday, December 10 at 7:30pm, Wednesday, December 11 at 2pm and 7:30pm, Thursday, December 12 at 7:30pm.

Ted Sperling, Artistic Director of MasterVoices, announced details of the acclaimed ensemble's 78th season, celebrating the joy of choral singing and the power of the human voice to unite, inspire and connect since 1941. Highlights include three major musical presentations at top venues, including a New York premiere, and the World Premiere of a new work, commissioned by the Company.
