Theatre in the Park will be unveiled with a major revival of the musical Barnum presented in association with Cameron Mackintosh. Directed by Timothy Sheader, Artistic Director of Regent's Park Open Air Theatre, this production will star the versatile and consummate Broadway entertainer Christopher Fitzgerald in the title role.

Chichester Festival Theatre celebrates its 50th birthday with an anniversary season that echoes and acknowledges the past while also looking to the future. Uncle Vanya was part of Chichester's very first season in 1962 and became a key part of its history and is revisited during Festival 2012. The Way of the World in 1984 has also become an emblematic production; the play will feature again this year.

According to reports from Whatsonstage, Ruthie Henshall will star alongside Alison Steadman, Robert Bathurst, and Hermione Norris in BLITHE SPIRIT which is set to play at Bath's Theatre Royal from November 3-13, the Brighton Theatre Royal from November 16-21, Cambridge's Arts Theatre from November 22-27, the Milton Keynes Theatre from February 14-19 and the Richmond Theatre from February 21-26. A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company led by Co-Founders/Co-Artistic Directors Geoff Elliott and Julia Rodriguez-Elliott, announces its 2010-11 season featuring seven productions. Presented from September 2010 to June 2011 are the West Coast premiere of Neil Bartlett's new adaptation of Charles Dickens' GREAT EXPECTATIONS, a reprise of ANW's critically acclaimed and popular staging of Michael Frayn's NOISES OFF, Shakespeare's MEASURE FOR MEASURE and THE COMEDY OF ERRORS, Noel Coward's BLITHE SPIRIT, Tennessee Williams' THE ECCENTRICITIES OF A NIGHTINGALE, and Eugene Ionesco's THE CHAIRS. The season, ANW's 19th and last in its current Glendale location before moving in Fall 2011 to a spectacular new Pasadena venue, concludes with three retrospective evenings of the company's many years in Glendale.

Baz Bamigboye reports in the London Daily Mail today that Alison Steadman has signed on to lead the cast of BLITHE SPIRIT as 'Madame Arcati' in the West End. Rehearsals are scheduled to begin sometime in late September and open at the Theatre Royal in Bath on November 3, 2010 for a limited run. Thereafter, Bamigboye reports, the show will tour the U.K. briefly before landing at the Apollo Theatre in the West End on March 2, 2011.
