On Monday night, January 20, 2014 BroadwayWorld.com kicked off our 10th anniversary celebration with a benefit for BC/EFA entitled BroadwayWorld.com Visits Oz. In celebration of Michael Urie's birthday, we bring you a special clip of his performance. A longtime friend to BroadwayWorld.com, during his sold-out run of BUYER & CELLAR, he made time to come to JOE'S PUB to be part of our 10th Anniversary. At the event, he performed a special piece, written by BUYER & CELLAR Playwright's Jonathan Tolins, entitled MY PASSION FOR OZ.

Well-Strung, the pop/classical fusion group, released their second music video today titled "Blank Space (Feat. Johann Sebastian Bach)" in advance of their new album POPssical due this October. The video can be viewed on their YouTube channel and the single can be downloaded on iTunes.

After the SCOTUS ruling on Friday legalizing gay marriage, many Broadway personalities took to varied platforms to share heartfelt messages about what the ruling means to them. When it comes to either their signature pop-classical mashups - or their politics for that matter - Well-Strung, The Singing String Quartet, wears its heart on its sleeve. For the first single from their upcoming new album titled 'POPssical', due out in early October, the group debuts their new music video 'Chelsea's Mom' today on YouTube. The video is Well-Strung's inventive take on the Fountains of Wayne hit 'Stacy's Mom', reimagined as a tribute to 2016 Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. The musical arrangement for strings is by Well-Strung with lyrics by Well-Strung, Jeffery Roberson & Jacques Lamarre. The video was filmed by Blake Drummond, edited by Randy Rainbow and was produced by Mark Cortale, Matt Farber and Well-Strung.

Episode 3 of Evatt Salinger's video blog for BroadwayWorld on the way to the National High School Musical Theatre Awards in New York. Salinger, of Durango High School, last month was named Outstanding Actor at the 2015 Bobby G Awards at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. In this episode, Salinger talks about a full day of interviews with the Denver media - including the most unusual question he's been asked so far. Here's a hint: The answer involves gender-bending, Denver native Sierra Boggess,  Ramin Karimloo and 'Phantom of the Opera."

Josh Groban is busy promoting his new album, titled 'Stages,' in New York City. Released earlier this spring, via Reprise Records, the album is a collection of some of the greatest musical theater songs of all time, which Groban describes as 'gorgeously arranged songs that have stood the test of time,' and which he was drawn to because of their combination of 'incredible melody with an incredible story.' Hosted by HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH's Darren Criss, Broadway's best turned out for the annual performance - including It Shoulda Been You's Sierra Boggess and Lisa Howard, who performed 'Perfect'- check it out below!

The pair recently released a concept recording of four songs written for a theoretical RATATOUILLE musical, with visuals from the film to go with them. They explicitly state, however, that they did not do this with Disney's sanction, so this seems to be more a strong hint to Disney than an assignment. Check out the live studio recording below!
