Second Stage Theatre Videos

Second Stage Theatre will soon present the New York premiere production of SMART PEOPLE, the new play by LYDIA R. DIAMOND (Stick Fly), directed by Tony® Award winner KENNY LEON (A Raisin in the Sun, The Wiz Live!). MAHERSHALA ALI (House of Cards), JOSHUA JACKSON (The Affair), ANNE SON (My Generation), and TESSA THOMPSON (Creed) will co-star in the production.

Second Stage Theatre will present the world premiere production of INVISIBLE THREAD, a new musical by Matt Gould and Griffin Matthews, in association with American Repertory Theater, directed by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus (Finding Neverland, Pippin). INVISIBLE THREAD will begin previews on Saturday, October 31st at Second Stage's Tony Kiser Theatre (305 West 43rd street). Opening night is scheduled for Wednesday, December 2nd. Happy Birthday, Aaron Tveit! Tveit recently shined as Enjolras in the critically acclaimed film adaption of LES MISERABLES, and has since then starred in the original USA Network series GRACELAND. Tveit starred on Broadway in CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, in the role of Frank Abagnale Jr and also created the role of 'Gabe' in the Pulitzer Prize winning Broadway musical, NEXT TO NORMAL, which he developed off-Broadway at the Second Stage Theatre and debuted on Broadway. In addition to WICKED and HAIRSPRAY on Broadway, he starred in the national tours of Hairspray and Rent.
