As previously announced, National Theatre Live will broadcast ANGELS IN AMERICA, Tony Kushner's multi-award-winning two-part play, this summer. Part One: Millennium Approaches will be in cinemas from 20 July. Part Two: Perestroika will be in cinemas from 27 July. Watch the trailer for the cinema events below!

In the midst of the AIDS crisis and a conservative Reagan administration, New Yorkers grapple with life and death, love and sex, heaven and hell in Angels in America, currently in previews for a May 4th opening at the National Theatre. Celebrate the festive season by taking a closer look at angels across the collection. Each week in December, the National Gallery will release a new film on YouTube inspired by different depictions of angels in art. 

At the outbreak of World War One, Joey, young Albert's beloved horse, is sold to the cavalry and shipped to France. He's soon caught up in enemy fire, and fate takes him on an extraordinary odyssey, serving on both sides before finding himself alone in no man's land. But Albert cannot forget Joey and, still not old enough to enlist, he embarks on a treacherous mission to find him and bring him home.

WAR HORSE, the hugely acclaimed, award-winning production based on Michael Morpurgo's novel, adapted by Nick Stafford, opened at the New London Theatre on Friday April 3rd, due to overwhelming demand. The West End run followed the production's second sell-out season at the National Theatre which finished on 18 March.
