This afternoon, the company of Waitress on Broadway gathered on the stage of Broadway’s Barrymore Theatre to commemorate a Mayoral Proclamation declaring Friday, September 17, “Nick Cordero Day” in New York City. 

After a year and a half without Broadway, Waitress fans will get a rare chance to revisit their favorite musical- they'll just have to travel across the street for it. A limited engagement begins performances at The Ethel Barrymore Theatre on September 2, where it will run through January 9, 2022.

The producers of the Broadway hit Waitress announced today that for the third year running they will be supporting the Susan G. Komen Greater NYC during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, this October.  

She's queen of the beam, and now she's taking on Broadway! Olympic gold medalist Laurie Hernandez recently stopped by the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, where she was joined by company member Matt DeAngelis in a karaoke rendition of 'Bad Idea.' Watch Laurie belt it out below!

Tickets go on sale to the general public today at 10 AM EST for Sara Bareilles's return engagement in the Broadway smash, Waitress. For the first two weeks of her return engagement, the multiplatinum-selling singer-songwriter and New York Times bestselling author will play the titular pie-maker opposite Jason Mraz as Dr. Pomatter.

Broadway Sessions celebrated it's season finale recently. Nobody panic! Broadway Sessions will be back weekly beginning on September 7th. But of course we had to blow the roof of the joint 1 more time before parting. So we called upon friends, Colton Ryan (Dear Evan Hansen), Kimber Elayne Sprawl (Beautiful), Lauren Elder (Side Show) and Matt DeAngelis (Waitress) to dazzle us 1 last time this summer. Just last night, The Public Theater celebrated its Annual Gala, HAIR TO HAMILTON, 50 Years of Revolutionary Musicals, at the Delacorte Theater. Directed by Daniel Sullivan, with musical direction by Rob Fisher and Nadia DiGiallonardo, the 90-minute concert featured songs from The Public's most beloved and groundbreaking musicals performed by some of the most celebrated voices in theater. Last month, twenty of the brightest talents on Broadway were featured in Broadway Sings Bruno Mars, the latest concert in the Broadway Sings series. The tribute series takes the music of well-known music icons and creates new, unique arrangements and orchestrations by twisting the style to fit the strength of the performer. Previous concerts have included Adele, Stevie Wonder, and Justin Timberlake; this November, producer Corey Mach (Godspell, Wicked) and music director Joshua Stephen Kartes will present Broadway Sings Sara Bareilles.?

ONCE, winner of eight Tony Awards including Best Musical and winner of the 2013 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, hit the road for the first North American tour, opening at the Oriental Theatre in Chicago. On May 6, Broadway came together to support those affected by the Boston Marathon Tragedy at The Laurie Beechman Theatre.
