As previously reported, Stephanie J. Block will join the Tony Award winning company of Anything Goes performing the role of 'Reno Sweeney' while Sutton Foster is filming the television pilot, Bunheads, for 3 weeks beginning tonight, November 4. Block will fill the famed tap shoes though November 22. BroadwayWorld caught up with Block this week and was treated to a sneak peek of the star in costume as 'Reno'. Below, we give you glimpse!

New York City Center has just reopened following a historic renovation and modernization with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and star-studded gala last night, October 25 at New York City Center. Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg conducted The Encores! Orchestra in the opening number (as a nod to Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia, who conducted the New York Philharmonic when City Center opened as a performing arts center in 1943). Broadway Beat was there for the reopening, and brings you interviews with the evening's participants below!

On September 27, Roundabout Theatre Company celebrated their new cast album with an in-store performance and CD signing. Director Kathleen Marshall was on hand to introducer performers and stars Sutton Foster, Joel Grey, Colin Donnell, Adam Godley and Laura Osnes, who performed classics from the show and greet fans. As previously reported, Roundabout Theatre Company recently announced a new block of tickets now on-sale through April 29th, 2012 for their Tony-winning production of Anything Goes. It was originally scheduled to run through Sunday, July 31st, 2011. The production currently stars 2011 Tony Award winner Sutton Foster as 'Reno Sweeney' and Tony and Academy Award winner Joel Grey as 'Moonface Martin,' and is directed and choreographed by 2011 Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall. Roundabout Theatre Company presents three-time Tony Award winner Frank Langella as 'Gregor Antonescu' in Terence Rattigan's drama Man and Boy, directed by Maria Aitken. As part of the centennial celebration of English playwright Terence Rattigan, Man and Boy began previews on September 9th and opens officially on October 9, 2011 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway. Ghotslight Records will release the New Broadway Cast Recording of the critically acclaimed and Tony-winning new Broadway production of ANYTHING GOES this summer. Richie Ridge was invited inside the recording studio for BroadwayWorld to chat about the new album, the recording session and all things ANYTHING GOES!

After winning three Tony Awards for Best Revival of a Musical, Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role to Sutton Foster and Best Choreography to Kathleen Marshall, Roundabout's Todd Haimes announced to press that the hit production would extend further into 2012 on Broadway and would then tour in the Fall of 2012.

Roundabout Theatre Company's Tony-nominated ANYTHING GOES got a little more special this weekend during Fleet Week! After the show, Captain Zubah Koweh (US Marine Corp) brought his girlfriend ENS Amy Sullivan (US Navy) to attend a performance of ANYTHING GOES on Broadway. Following the curtain call, Captain Zubah Koweh (in uniform) got to propose marriage to his girlfriend in front of a sold-out audience while standing on stage surrounded by Sutton Foster, Joel Grey and all of the show's sailors.
