Ida Mae have released a new video for their beautifully effortless track, 'Love Is Still A Long Road.' Directed by Tom Cowles, the video features footage of husband-and-wife duo Chris Turpin and Stephanie Jean as they travel across the US on tour. Ida Mae writes that ''Love Is Still A Long Road' is in some ways about us. We've existed on the road together for so long with an almost Bonnie & Clyde lifestyle….travelling alone in the car in cities and countries we never expected to see. It is kind of about being bound to one another.”

Urban Stages Founding Artistic Director Frances Hill and producer Peter Napolitano present the World Premiere of Character Man as part of its 30th Anniversary season. Jim Brochu's new musical memoir just opened Off-Broadway at Urban Stages Theatre (259 West 30th Street) Wednesday March 5th. This limited run, in previews now, will continue through March 30th only. Robert Bartley directs, with musical direction by Carl Haan. Character Man will have scenic & video design by Patrick Brennan, lighting design by Meghan Santelli and sound design by Sean Hagerty. Pet Shop Boys have made the brand new track 'Vocal' available to download from today. The song is taken from the forthcoming Stuart Price produced album 'Electric', which is released on July 16 through Pet Shop Boys' own x2 Recordings (via Kobalt Label Services).

Feinstein's at Loews Regency continues its Fall 2011 season with the return engagement of Grammy Award nominated singer and entertainer Marilyn Maye. Her new show, 'The Best Of Times Is Now!' - which honors the legendary Broadway composer Jerry Herman on this 80th Birthday year - features songs from his shows including Mame, Mack and Mabel, Hello, Dolly! and Milk and Honey. Marilyn starred in Hello, Dolly! many times and recorded a CD of all the songs from the Tony Award winning score. Her recent local appearances have been received with rave reviews and full houses. The show opened November 1 and runs through Saturday, November 12 at the Loews Regency Hotel. Broadway Beat was on hand for opening night and takes you inside the showroom below!
