To life! The Broadway revival of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF just opened last night, December 20 at The Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway), wrapping up the 2015 Broadway season. In a new interview with USA Today, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF choregrapher Hofesh Shechter discusses adding modern moves to the the upcoming Broadway revival of the classic musical.

It's just a week before previews begin for the much-anticipated revival of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, and the cast is ready to go. BroadwayWorld's Randy Rainbow just checked in with Tevye's three oldest daughters (played by Alexandra Silber, Samantha Massell and Melanie Moore) and they gave him the scoop on what to expect from Bartlett Sher's latest project. The upcoming Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof will begin performances on Friday, November 20, 2015, with an official opening night on Sunday, December 20, 2015, at The Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway). Alexandra Silber and Gina Beck joined the John Wilson Orchestra for the encore at the BBC Proms, paying tribute to Leonard Bernstein with their rendition of America from West Side Story.

Following the enormous success of the semi-staged performance of My Fair Lady at the Proms in 2012, John Wilson returned to perform Cole Porter's Tony Award-winning musical Kiss Me, Kate last summer. Joining John Wilson and the John Wilson Orchestra, Broadway stalwarts Ben Davis, Alexandra Silber, Tony Yazbeck and West End star Louise Dearman led the cast in an irreverent reworking of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew -- a play within a play.
