Casting has been announced for the Los Angeles LGBT Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center's production of the iconic musical Hair. Under the direction of Kate Sullivan with musical direction by Jared Stein, there will be two preview performances on Wednesday, March 25, and Thursday, March 26, at 8pm. Opening is set for Friday, March 27, at 8pm in the Davidson/Valentini Theatre. The regular performance schedule will be Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 7pm through April 26.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 - the new intimate concert venue dubbed Broadway's 'off-night hotspot' by The New York Times - will present the return of Reeve Carney, Zane Carney and Paris Carney for the star siblings' new evening 'The Carney Family Christmas Extravaganza' on Sunday, December 22 at 9:30 PM. The family has been making music together their entire lives and will come together in harmony again for one night only to perform holiday favorites and their original songs, following a sold out show this past summer.

Mile of Music, presented by Tundraland, has announced the first 50 names from its lineup of 200 artists in preparation for the festival's August 2018 return to Appleton, Wisconsin. With just over three months to go until the music-making begins, festival organizers were on hand at OuterEdge Stage last week to make the announcement at the annual 'First 50' event.

Adam Davenport was an early winner at the 16th annual Independent Music Awards (The IMAs) on March 31st at New York City's historic Lincoln Center. Reeve and Zane Carney make up half of the band Carney, which opened for U2 last month. The band also plays the music of Broadway's SPIDER-MAN, TURN OFF THE DARK at the Foxwoods Theatre nightly; Reeve Carney plays Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the show. The brothers recently sat down with the Associated Press to discuss SPIDER-MAN, what it was like to work with music greats, and more. While the Broadway world is still abuzz from Sunday's Tony Awards, all eyes turned last night to another star-studded red carpet event: the much-delayed opening of SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK. BroadwayWorld.com was there to capture all of the excitement of the night, including the arrivals for the cast and creative team for the show's opening night party.

Music from SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark will be released on June 14th by Interscope Records. With 14 new songs co-written by Bono and The Edge for the Broadway production, SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark, the album is produced by Steve Lillywhite. Songs are performed by the cast including Reeve Carney in the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Jennifer Damiano in the role of Mary Jane, T.V. Carpio as Arachne and Patrick Page as the Green Goblin, with contributions from Bono and The Edge and music performed by the production's twenty member strong orchestra. The release date coincides with the opening night (June 14th) of the Broadway show.

Cast member T.V. Carpio officially assumed the role of 'Arachne' in SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark, replacing Natalie Mendoza who departed the production last week after suffering a concussion at an early preview. BroadwayWorld.com was there amongst invited press to capture the star (and the rest of the cast) at the stage door post-show.

Reeve Carney, who's set to play the lead web-slinger in Broadway's SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK, will perform at Piano's (158 Ludlow Street) on Sept. 15 with his band, Carney.

This morning, Spider-Man Reeve Carney introduced the first song from the upcoming Broadway show on Good Morning America, September 10. Carney performed the song, composed by Bono and The Edge at the Hudson Theatre in the Millennium Hotel, with the performance broadcast live during the 8am-9am hour. L.A.-based rock band Carney set out on tour this summer in support of their eagerly awaited debut album Mr. Green Vol. 1 out May 11th on DAS Label/Interscope. Carney also headlined a special album release show on May 15th at LA's El Rey Theatre before embarking on a cross-country tour supporting UK songsmiths, Athlete, kicking off May 31st at Maxwell's in Hoboken, NJ.
