Casting Announced For HAIR At Los Angeles LGBT Center

Casting has been announced for the Los Angeles LGBT Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center's production of the iconic musical Hair. Under the direction of Kate Sullivan with musical direction by Jared Stein, there will be two preview performances on Wednesday, March 25, and Thursday, March 26, at 8pm. Opening is set for Friday, March 27, at 8pm in the Davidson/Valentini Theatre. The regular performance schedule will be Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 7pm through April 26.

The family has been making music together their entire lives and will come together in harmony again for one night only to perform holiday favorites and their original songs, following a sold out show this past summer.

Mile of Music, presented by Tundraland, has announced the first 50 names from its lineup of 200 artists in preparation for the festival's August 2018 return to Appleton, Wisconsin. The band also plays the music of Broadway's SPIDER-MAN, TURN OFF THE DARK at the Foxwoods Theatre nightly; Reeve Carney plays Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the show. The brothers recently sat down with the Associated Press to discuss SPIDER-MAN, what it was like to work with music greats, and more. Music from SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark will be released on June 14th by Interscope Records. With 14 new songs co-written by Bono and The Edge for the Broadway production, SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark, the album is produced by Steve Lillywhite. Songs are performed by the cast including Reeve Carney in the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Jennifer Damiano in the role of Mary Jane, T.V. Carpio as Arachne and Patrick Page as the Green Goblin, with contributions from Bono and The Edge and music performed by the production's twenty member strong orchestra. The release date coincides with the opening night (June 14th) of the Broadway show.

Carpio officially assumed the role of 'Arachne' in SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark, replacing Natalie Mendoza who departed the production last week after suffering a concussion at an early preview. L.A.-based rock band Carney set out on tour this summer in support of their eagerly awaited debut album Mr. Green Vol. 1 out May 11th on DAS Label/Interscope. Carney also headlined a special album release show on May 15th at LA's El Rey Theatre before embarking on a cross-country tour supporting UK songsmiths, Athlete, kicking off May 31st at Maxwell's in Hoboken, NJ.
