Mario Cantone will host this year's Lucille Lortel Awards, which are being presented as a virtual broadcast and benefit for The Actors Fund on Sunday, May 3, at 7pm. The online event will bring together theatre performers, industry veterans, and fans worldwide in a celebration of Off-Broadway.

Nominations for the 35th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway were announced today by theatre veterans Jeremy Jordan and Ashley Spencer. The Awards will be presented during a special online event on Sunday, May 3, broadcast on the official website - www.LortelAwards.org - beginning at 7:00pm ET. A virtual 'host' and presenters will be announced at a later date. As always, the Lortel Awards will be a benefit for The Actors Fund and fans are encouraged to make donations at actorsfund.org/Lortel. The Lucille Lortel Awards are produced by the Off-Broadway League and the Lucille Lortel Theatre Foundation. Additional support is provided by TDF.

A second group of Broadway producers have stepped up to match all new donations up to $1 million

BroadwayWorld has just learned that Tony Award nominee Jeremy Jordan will take over the role of 'Seymour' in Little Shop of Horrors on March 17 at The Westside Theatre (407 West 43rd Street). 

The critically-acclaimed revival of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS will be receiving an original cast recording, to be released by Ghostlight Records. THE NEW LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS OFF-BROADWAY CAST ALBUM, produced by Alan Menken, Will Van Dyke, Frank Wolf, and Michael Mayer a?" and executive produced by Kirdahy, Ahrens and Arnold a?" will be released on December 20, 2019 digitally and will be available on all streaming platforms. A physical CD will be released at a future date to be announced.

Tony Award nominee Gideon Glick (To Kill A Mockingbird, Significant Other) will take over the role of a?oeSeymoura?? in Little Shop of Horrors beginning January 21, for seven weeks through March 8, 2020 at the Westside Theatre (407 West 43rd Street). OSCAR at The Crown, the extraordinary immersive nightclub musical, announces an extension through September at 3 Dollar Bill in Brooklyn. Originally slated to run through the summer, the production will continue through the month due to popular demand, with its final performance in Brooklyn on Saturday, September 28th. Future plans for the production will be announced in the coming weeks.

Producers of OSCAR at The Crown announced today the release of the original concept album featuring the music of the wildly popular immersive nightclub musical now playing at 3 Dollar Bill (260 Meserole Street, Brooklyn, NY). The album, which was produced by and features music and lyrics by Andrew Barret Cox, is now available on all digital music providers.

The completely original new musical Something Rotten!, originally directed and choreographed on Broadway by Tony Award-winner Casey Nicholaw (Mean Girls, The Book of Mormon, Aladdin), with music and lyrics by Grammy Award-winner and Tony Award nominee Wayne Kirkpatrick and Golden Globe Award and Tony Award nominee Karey Kirkpatrick and a book by Tony Award nominees Karey Kirkpatrick and best-selling author John O'Farrell, will play Akron's E.J.
