The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts presents the Kennedy Center production of The Guardsman in the Eisenhower Theater from May 25 to June 23, 2013. Principal casting includes Finn Wittrock as The Actor, Sarah Wayne Callies as The Actress, Julie Halston as Mother, and Shuler Hensley as The Critic. The cast also includes Annie Funke as Maid, John Ahlin as The Creditor, and Naomi Jacobson as The Female Usher. A fresh Kennedy Center adaptation based on the 1910 comedy by Hungarian playwright Ferenc Molnar, The Guardsman features a new translation by Richard Nelson and is directed by Gregory Mosher. The press opening is Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 7:30 p.m.

Based on the humorous novel Growing Up Lutheran by Janet Letnes Martin and Suzann Nelson, CHURCH BASEMENT LADIES is dishing up laughs at Boulder's Dinner Theatre now through May 12th. CHURCH BASEMENT LADIES features four distinct characters and their relationships as they organize the food and confront the problems in a rural Minnesota church. From the elderly matriarch to the young bride?to?be learning the proper order of things, the story and music give us a touching yet funny look at their lives as we see them handle a record breaking Christmas dinner, the funeral of a dear friend, a Hawaiian Easter Fundraiser, and a steaming hot July wedding.

This show was wonderfully executed and hit the ground tapping. This featured some fierce talents in tap and I sat there amazed at several of the numbers.

Fall in love the the roaring 20's all over again in this delightful romp!

When we actors are starting out, we have to pay our dues, whether it's performing in dinner theatres, amusement parks, or cruise ship entertainment. This company, however, is an exception to the rule and brings a humble professionalism on and off the stage that is quite refreshing.

With a power upset among the lead characters, I got to see my favorite musical through a new pair of glasses!
