Keen Company's new production of Jonathan Larson's Tick, Tick... BOOM!, just opened last night at the Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues) . The show will continue through November 20th only. BroadwayWorld brings you photos from the special night below!

The American Theatre Wing just recognized the recipients of the 2015 Jonathan Larson Grants: writing team Tim Rosser (composer) & Charlie Sohne (composer) receiving $10,000,Sam Willmott (composer/lyricist) receiving $10,000 and a week-long residency at the Running Deer Musical Theatre Lab, and Max Vernon (composer/lyricist) receiving $10,000. This year's recipients were selected by an expert panel consisting of Amanda Green (Hands on a Hardbody), Steven Lutvak (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder), and Ted Chapin (President and Executive Director of Rodgers & Hammerstein). The prestigious grants totaling $30,000 were presented last night, March 23, 2015 at a private event at the WNYC Greene Space. BroadwayWorld brings you photos from inside the special event below!

SoLuna Studio will produce the musical TICK…TICK…BOOM! as a part their professional mainstage season, with performances running February 20th-March 8th. Performances will be held on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm. Tickets purchased in advance are $15 for students and seniors and $20 for adults. At the door, tickets for students and seniors are $20 each and $25 for adults. Group rates are also available. Blue Repertory, Ateneo de Manila campus-based musical theater organization, celebrates its 18th anniversary with the staging of Jonathan Larson's autobiographical work TICK TICK BOOM running from August 5 to 15, 2009 at the Rizal Mini Theater.

tick, tick… Boom! originally presented as a 'rock monologue' entitled Boho Days, was performed by composer/lyricist Jonathan Larson as an autobiographical look at his dream of leaving his mark on the musical theater landscape. Larson was working on Boho Days at the same time he was writing the ground-breaking musical RENT, though, of course, his tragic death meant that he did not live to see his dream become a reality.
