Netflix's BLACK RABBIT Adds Academy Award Winner Troy Kotsur, Robin de Jesus, & More

Netflix has announced new additions to the cast of Black Rabbit, the upcoming limited series starring Jude Law and Jason Bateman. Among those joining are Academy Award-winning actor Troy Kotsur, Robin De Jesus, Abbey Lee, and Odessa Young. The series follows the owner of a New York City hotspot (Law) who allows his turbulent brother (Bateman) back into his life and opens the door to escalating dangers that threaten to bring down everything he's built.

Brian Kite, interim dean of the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, announced today that Academy Award-winning actor Troy Kotsur (CODA, Spring Awakening) will deliver the keynote address at the school’s 75th annual commencement ceremony. Writer-director-producer Amy Aniobi will receive the Distinguished Alumni Award. Dean Kite will preside over the event to be held on Friday, June 10, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at UCLA’s Royce Hall.

Given the current events affecting our world, it is understandable that many of us seek an escape through theater and film. Due to the pandemic, the worlds of theater and film have begun to merge with Broadway artists and creators participating in their first major films, such as tick, tick… Boom and West Side Story. This past Sunday many of these films and artists received gratifying recognition at the Oscars Ceremony at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.
