Producers announced today that off-Broadway's OLD JEWS TELLING JOKES will close on Sunday September 15. It will have played 22 previews and 552 regular performances. As previously announced, a Chicago production will begin performances at the Royal George Theatre on September 24 and open on October 2.

Just last week, the winner of an Old Jews Telling Jokes contest for the Funniest (Fill in the Blank) got the chance to tell his joke on stage at the end of the show at the Westside Thetare. On Thursday afternoon, 106.7 Lite FM continued its annual lunchtime theatre summer series, '106.7 Lite FM's Broadway in Bryant Park.' Creators Sam Hoffman and Peter Gethers gave an interesting talk and video presentation about the shows formation. Stewie Stone 'head comic' at the Friars had some of his own hilarious stories and also introduced various Friars who contributed to the joke telling.
