Impoverished by a string of flops, New York producer Max Bialystock recruits timid accountant Leo Bloom to help him pull off Broadway's greatest scam. Together they aim to produce the worst show ever and run away to Rio with millions, but they soon learn that showbusiness can always find a way to kick you in the teeth.

The Producers, a Mel Brooks musical, has been a favourite of mine since I saw the Las Vegas production years ago starring David Hasselhoff - who was surprisingly good, I might add! The show had been condensed into an hour and a half straight through which worked well in my opinion. The musical was adapted from the 1968 film of the same name and opened on Broadway in 1991, receiving 12 Tony Awards - a massive achievement by any standard. The 2005 film version was also very enjoyable and starred original Broadway cast members Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick.

The Desperate Divas are West End stars Tiffany Graves and Anita Louise Combe - who have both played Velma & Roxie in Chicago - singing for their supper and looking for love.

Based on Mel Brooks' beloved Academy Award winning movie, The Producers is a hilarious musical comedy that has taken Broadway and the West End by storm, winning a record-breaking 12 Tony Awards and 3 Olivier Awards; it opens its UK tour in March 2015.

Kerry Ellis, who takes over from Nicole Scherzinger as Grizabella in the current West End smash-hit, Cats, will feature inThe Night of Electric Voices on Sunday 1 March 2015 at 8pm at the London Coliseum, the largest theatre in London. It is announced today that Casualty heart-throb and winner of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Any Dream Will Do, Lee Mead, will be joining Kerry Ellis and the many stars of West End and Broadway.
