Flushing Town Hall’s popular series, Mini-Global Mashups, will present another installment this summer on Sunday, July 24 at 1 PM EST with its Gospel Meets Côte d’Ivoire concert.

Palestinian composer and oud and violin master Simon Shaheen will be joined by the Near Eastern Music Ensemble that he founded in an effort to promote Arabic music throughout the world. In 1994, Shaheen received a National Heritage Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, the highest honor for traditional arts in the US. 

National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF) today dishes up some exciting new Chanukah programming as part of their groundbreaking 107th season. ESN, a celebration of Jewish food through song and cooking demonstrations, comes to the NYTF virtual stage on November 28, 2021.
