Feinstein's/54 Below, in association with the Musical Theatre department at the New York Film Academy, presents NYFA FACULTY SHOW! FEATURING KRISTY CATES, TODD BUONOPANE, & MORE on May 21st, 2017 at 9:30 PM.

La La Land isn't the only vehicle opening the door for a new era of movie musicals. NYFA's original productions feature Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart (Hamilton, Aladdin), Tony Award nominee Charlotte d'Amboise (Pippin, A Chorus Line), Jen Perry (Kinky Boots) and others.

In anticipation of Pride Week, Thank You For Coming Out (TYFCO) is teaming up with Fun Home to hold an improv workshop benefiting the organizations I'm From Driftwood and How We G.L.O.W. Each of the four groups amplify the LGBTQ voice in a different way and aim to promote an understanding among communities. This workshop will encourage empathy, inclusivity and acceptance within the LGBTQ community by using and teaching the ideals of improv - listening, trust, respect, affirmation and connection with each other through the principle of Yes, And. TYFCO and Fun Home's main goal is that both I'm From Driftwood and How We G.L.O.W. can take what they learned back to their organizations and continue to inspire others.

Thank You For Coming Out presents Pride Night at the Magnet Theater on Monday, June 20, 2016, at 254 West 29th Street, Ground Floor, NYC. Tickets are available to reserve at www.magnettheater.com. Tickets are $7 for each hour, and 100 percent of the ticket proceeds from the entire evening are being donated by the Magnet Theater to I'm From Driftwood (https://imfromdriftwood.com).

Thank You For Coming Out is a fabulously funny improv show that features two different coming out stories each followed by an improv set (one musical). The stories you hear and the scenes you see are heartfelt, sometimes heart-wrenching, vulnerable, hilarious, fun, loving and supportive. We have a rotating cast of LGBTQ improvisers of all levels from all over New York City! Our actors range from newbies to Broadway sensations!

(Un)Lucky In Love, a heroic romantic musical comedy by award-winning writers Crystal Skillman & Bobby Cronin, will receive a developmental reading this week with a starry cast led by Ali Stroker (Spring Awakening, 'Glee') in a role that would be a first in Broadway musical theatre history -- a lead character who is disabled played by a disabled actor.

A musical journey of survival New York: DEEP Arts in association with The New York Musical Theatre Festival presents the NY Premiere of Moses Man with book & lyrics by Deborah Haber and music by Casey Filiaci, directed by Michael Bush. The show will be feature choreography by Wendy Seyb with musical direction by Don Kot. Moses Man will play from July 8-13, 2015 at the Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street).

Come one, come all to the musical you help create. Just a few blocks north of the heart of Times Square, the vastly talented improv actors, orchestra, and crew of BLANK! THE MUSICAL are treating audiences to the opening and closing night of a musical. (No, they're not reviving the 1988 production of CARRIE.) When you enter New World Stages for BLANK! THE MUSICAL, you'll have no idea what you're in for in the best of possible ways.

A private industry reading of Insult to Injury will take place today, July 11 in Manhattan. Insult to Injury has book and lyrics by Maura M. Knowles and music by Nathania Wibowo. The reading will be directed by Joe Barros (Artistic Director of New York Theatre Barn, New York Innovative Theatre Award nominee for Hard Times).

Fundamental Theater Project will present the upcoming staged reading of Supersoldier, a new rock musical with book, music and lyrics by Hair co-creator, Jim Rado. The reading is presented in collaboration with New York Theatre Barn, and will be directed by NYTB Artistic Director, Joe Barros. Ted Rado also serves as Co-Book Writer on the piece, and Steve Margoshes and Marteen Andruet join as Musical Directors.

New York Theatre Barn will release the new fully orchestrated demo recording of Small Town Story (formerly Speargrove Presents), a new musical commissioned by NYTB, in a concert sung by most of the demo cast and band at its signature new musical development platform NYTB in the D-Lounge on Monday, September 23, 2013 at 7:30 PM at the Daryl Roth Theatre in New York City. On Wednesday, June 5, Fundamental Theatre Project will present Benjamin Button - A New Musical, as a part of Mass Rhetoric: A New Works Festival. With music by Natalie Tenenbaum and a book and lyrics by Brett Boles, the project will be directed by Stephen Nachamie and will feature Daniel Reichard, Melissa van der Schyff, Hunter Herdlicka, T.J. Mannix, James Donegan, Mark Willis Borum, Lauren Downie, Isabel Nesti, Lindsay Gallagher, Sena Lee, Alysia Dorhout, Heath Chaney, Chris Withers, Xalvador Tin-Bradbury and Mark DiConzo.

On June 11, Anthony Rapp (Rent) guest starred in special reading of 'The Pride' by Alexi Kaye Campbell, as part of afundraising initiative for Fundamental Theatre Project's upcoming season. The evening was hosted by FTP Patrons, Scott Mitchell and Ed Neppl. The one-night reading also helped raise awareness for 'Minnesotans United For All Families', an equal rights organization. Musicals Tonight presents Silk Stockings 11/3-15 @ McGinn/Cazale Theatre Silk Stockings (1955) is Cole Porter's final Broadway musical and is based upon the Greta Garbo classic Ninotchka.

In the course of this evening's performance, the following physical objects will appear onstage: a boxing bag, four golf clubs, a newspaper, two small targets, an oversized golf ball plus snake, a bloody towel, a duck mask, a white spider with spots, a watering can, three boulders wrapped in twine, a yellow suit, two imitation row boats, one tray of fruit, one rolling table, six highball glasses, two white pillows, one large roll of plastic tape, a jeweled wristwatch, one package, gift-wrapped, one jeweled container, plus one blank container, three mirrors with numbers painted on the reverse side, two bows and arrows, one duck in a small cage, one stuffed small mouth plug.
