The 57th Annual Obie Awards were given out at a ceremony tonight at Webster Hall in Greenwich Village. The awards were presented by acclaimed stage actors Eric McCormack, Grace Gummer, Hugh Dancy, Jonathan Pryce, Justin Bartha, Leslie Odom Jr., Lily Rabe, Michael McKean, Tonya Pinkins, Topher Grace, and Tracee Chimo.

The annual season of new plays at Summer Works is presented the Obie Award-winning theater company Clubbed Thumb -- has announced complete casting for its 17th season running May 26 to June 30 at the HERE Arts Center (145 Sixth Ave. at Dominick Street) in Manhattan.

Rachel York stars as Dorothy Shaw, Lorelei's brunette best friend. SUMMERWORKS 2012 -- the annual season of new plays presented the Obie Award-winning theater company Clubbed Thumb -- is set for its 17th season May 26 to June 30 at the HERE Arts Center (145 Sixth Ave. at Dominick Street) in Manhattan, it has been announced by Maria Striar, Clubbed Thumb's Producing Artistic Director.

After nearly 100 productions of the play around the world, including two by the Royal Court Theatre in London, Soho Rep and The Play Company, in association with John Adrian Selzer, will present the New York premiere February 1-26, 2012.

David Ives' sold-out, highly-acclaimed new comedy, THE SCHOOL FOR LIES, directed by Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie will close Sunday, May 29.

New Georges (Susan Bernfield, Artistic Director; Sarah Cameron Sunde, Associate Director; Jaynie Saunders Tiller, Managing Director), the OBIE Award-winning downtown theater company founded in 1992, will present "THE GERM PROJECT," featuring the work of playwrights Kara Lee Corthron (directed by Kara-Lynn Vaeni), Lynn Rosen (directed by Shoshana Gold), Kathryn Walat (directed by Portia Krieger), and Anna Ziegler (directed by Beatrice Terry).

John Douglas Thompson is playing the title role in Shakespeare's tragedy Macbeth in Theatre for a New Audience's final and fourth show of its 31st Season. Directed by Arin Arbus, this production reunites Ms. Arbus and Mr. Thompson whom she directed in the title role of Othello two seasons ago. Mr. Thompson won OBIE and Lucille Lortel awards for his performance. Macbeth features Annika Boras as Lady Macbeth, Albert Jones (Theatre for a New Audience's Pericles and Oroonoko) as Macduff and Graham Winton (Theatre for a New Audience's Don Juan, Julius Caesar, Pericles, Othello and Measure for Measure) as Banquo. Macbeth begins previews Saturday, March 12 at 8:00pm, opens Sunday, March 20 at 7:00pm, and runs through Thursday, April 21 at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street® project, 229 West 42nd Street. Two-time Tony Award-nominated Alison Fraser has joined the cast of David Ives' new comedy, THE SCHOOL FOR LIES, from the Molière classic The Misanthrope, directed by Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie, beginning performances Wednesday, April 13 at Classic Stage Company (136 East 13th Street) for a limited engagement through Sunday, May 22. The official press opening is Sunday, May 1 at 2 pm.
