With Broadway casting details still not announced, Brent Carver has bowed out of the La Jolla run of Stratford's Jesus Christ Superstar and will be replaced by Jeremy Kushnier. Full casting details were announced today, but Carver could not be reached for comment.

It isn't everyday that a touring company exceeds an original Broadway cast in performance value, but in this case, Little Women was stronger, more enjoyable and engaging than it's original. The story is a timeless coming-of-age tale for theatre-goers of all ages.

Something old, something new? Sure, Little Women has that. Borrowed and blue, that as well. It's a new show that's old-fashioned, with a score that's not all that original and bits of blue here and there, mainly represented in the period-lace that frames the brightly lit stage.
