Artistic Director Allen MacInnis and Executive Director Nancy Webster are pleased to announce the 2016/17 Season at Young People's Theatre (YPT), a year that marks the return of two of YPT's most popular musicals, both based on children's literature classics: SeussicalTM and Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach.

Young People's Theatre (YPT) is proud to present the world premiere of SCARBERIA, a riveting mystery commissioned by YPT and workshopped at the Banff Centre Playwrights Colony. Written by award-winning expat Canadian Evan Placey, SCARBERIA will be presented in The Studio from April 18 to May 1.

The powerful story of Hana's Suitcase will open the 50th Anniversary Season at Young People's Theatre (YPT) on October 8.This new production, directed by Allen MacInnis, is based on the internationally-acclaimed book by Karen Levine and adapted for the stage by Emil Sher. Premiering in 2005 and remounted in 2007 and 2010 due to overwhelming audience demand, this incredible true story has the power to move both children and adults alike.
