On Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at Pier 60, the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) will hold its annual gala celebrating outstanding individuals in the arts and design fields. For 20 years, the MAD Ball has recognized visionaries in the worlds of business, arts, philanthropy, and creativity, reflecting MAD's mission to celebrate innovation and excellence across all creative disciplines. This year's Visionaries! Awards will honor design advocate, patron, and longtime MAD Trustee Charles S. Cohen; the late architect Zaha Hadid; Italian design innovator MISSONI; and conceptual artist Yinka Shonibare. Hosted by Simon Doonan, the 2016 event will bring together 500 guests, including art patrons, artists, designers, and noted corporate and civic leaders, and will introduce the Museum's new Nanette L. Laitman Director, Jorge Daniel Veneciano.

The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities will open the regional premiere of Death Takes a Holiday directed by Arvada Center Artistic Producer, Rod A. Lansberry in the Main Stage Theatre on April 26, running through May 15, 2016. Performances are Tuesday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m.; Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m., Previews are April 22 - 24 at 7:30 p.m. nightly.  Moderated Talk Backs are scheduled on Friday, May 6 following the 7:30 p.m. performance and Wednesday, May 11 following the 1:00 p.m. performance. The Hole in the Wall Theater (HITW) in New Britain, CT is proud to announce OF MICE AND MEN by John Steinbeck, the first production of its 2015-2016 season.

John Hauser, formerly Director of the Rehearsal Department of the Metropolitan Opera, has joined the George London Foundation for Singers in the new position of Artistic Director, assisting the foundation's president, Nora London, with artistic planning.  Stephanie Lamprea continues as General Administrator.  Founded in 1971, the New York-based George London Foundation supports and nurtures young opera singers with an annual competition and recital series.

The Hole in the Wall Theater (HITW) in New Britain, CT is proud to announce Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, the first production of its' 2015-2016 season. Performances run Fridays & Saturdays from September 25th through October 17th with one Sunday matinee on October 11th. 

THE HAPPINESS PROJECT is a brand new production that explores our understanding of happiness and well-being. It brings together a company of young artists aged 12-19 and six scientists and academics to create a piece of contemporary theatre. The performances will take place at the Roundhouse, 3rd - 14th November 2015, following a run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August.
