Hamburg, 6. Juli 2023. Das Erfolgsmusical MAMMA MIA! im Stage Theater Neue Flora bekommt ab sofort eine neue „Donna“: Maricel Wölk (kurz: Maricel) wird die Rolle der ikonischen Hauptfigur ab 7. Juli 2023 bis zur Dernière im Januar 2024 verkörpern. Damit wird die Rolle der Donna von einem besonderen Ausnahmetalent und einer künstlerischen Allrounderin übernommen. Als alternierende Besetzung der „Donna“ ist seit Anfang Juli 2023 Kristel Constant zu sehen.

The North American touring cast is led by Naomi Rodgers (Frozen) and Zurin Villanueva (The Lion King, Mean Girls, Shuffle Along, The Book of Mormon) who will evenly share the role of Tina Turner, each playing four (of eight) performances a week. Also starring are Roderick Lawrence as Ike Turner, Roz White as Zelma Bullock, Carla R. Stewart as Gran Georgeanna and Lael Van Keuren as Rhonda.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera will open for the first time in Italy at Teatro Stabile del Friuli Venezia Giulia in Trieste on 4th July 2023. Additional casting has now been announced, including Earl Carpenter as Monsieur Andre and Bradley Jaden as Raoul, Vicomte de Chagny.

The Broadway community honors the memory of Tina Turner, the legendary music icon who passed away on May 24, 2023, at the age of 83. On June 21, 2023, the lights of the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in New York, the former Broadway home to the hit musical based on the triumphant life story of Ms. Turner, will be dimmed for one minute at exactly 7:00PM, in her honor.
