The Boiler Room Theatre (BRT) is staging a full-scale production of Les Miserables August 8, 9 and 10 at 8 pm in Liberty Hall at the Factory at Franklin. The musical will feature local, professional talent performing what is possibly the most popular musical in the world.

The Act Too Players (ATP), Williamson County's premier training program for all youths interested in the performing arts have teamed up with the Boiler Room, Williamson County's original and longest-running professional theatre company to host summer camps. The Act Too Players and The Boiler Room Theatre have been hosting Summer Camps together for the past 10 years. The partnership has been formed to provide students the best theatrical experience in Williamson County. Every student gets the opportunity to rehearse with the best directors, musical directors, and technical staff. Our goal is to instruct your child on the art of theatre while providing a fun, safe, environment. Boiler Room Theatre celebrates the upcoming holiday season with not one, but two productions sure to delight audiences-the beloved children's classic A Year With Frog and Toad and Christopher Durang's loopy comedy Mrs. Bob Cratchit's Wild Christmas Binge.

The Boiler Room Theatre (BRT), Williamson County's original and longest-running professional theatre company, will celebrate this holiday season with not one, but two productions sure to delight audiences - the beloved children's classic A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD and Christopher Durang's loopy comedy MRS. BOB CRATCHIT'S WILD CHRISTMAS BINGE. The productions will both be performed through the holiday season, running from November 24th through December 23rd. It is all happening at the theatre's iconic namesake venue in the historic Factory at Franklin, 230 Franklin Rd., Building Six, in Franklin, Tennessee.

On September 2, 2012-during the presentation of The First Night Honors-a new Nashville and Tennessee theater tradition was unveiled with the presentation of the First Night Robe. Fashioned after and inspired by the legendary Broadway Gypsy Robe, the First Night counterpart is presented to someone who is making their first appearance on a Nashville-area stage.

Now onstage in a thoroughly effective production directed by Sondra Morton at Franklin's Boiler Room Theatre, Parade is not your mama's or your granddaddy's musical comedy, to be certain.

Now, we're the last to try to stir up trouble or to further flame the fires of jealousy or envy, but we thought we'd share with you some photographs of some of those lovely ladies who could delight their audiences just by standing there-but whom inspire and encourage us all with their superb onstage talents. So, here's our recommendation, take a look at these photographs, then find out on which stages you can find these women this summer, then make a reservation and go to the theater…

In fact, in the retrospect afforded me by twelve hours, I have to admit that the production's most revelatory performance is delivered by Mike Baum, as the long-suffering and beleaguered Dan Goodman, Diana's stalwart and steadfast husband. That doesn't mean Chambers' performance is anything less than the spectacular onstage turn that it is-but, truth be told, it was expected from her. When word of her casting became publicly known, it is safe to say that 99% of the theater-going public (and actors themselves) agreed that Chambers' casting was indeed perfect. And she delivers exactly what we all hoped for, showing off the versatility, the confidence and the presence that has long identified her as one of the very best to be found onstage.

Today's spotlight falls upon Sondra Morton, who heads up the ACT Too Players-a fertile training ground for up-and-coming actors in the region-and she's operations manager of Franklin's Boiler Room Theatre, a typically harried and busy mom, a critically acclaimed actress and director, and a friend, confidante and supporter of just about everyone she brushes up against. In short, Sondra's just the best and today, you're given the opportunity to learn more about what makes her tick, so to speak, onstage.

With the start of a new year, things are really heating up for the Franklin-based Act Too Players, the training program for younger actors that's affiliated with Boiler Room Theatre, the First Night Award-winning Outstanding Theatre Company of 2011, and run by Sondra Morton (who does double duty as operations manager at BRT). Already, Morton and her team of actors, artisans, designers and all manner of creative types are hard at work on a trio of productions that usher in 2012 and looking ahead to so much more on the horizon in the new year.

Under the sure-handed direction of Morton, who has brought together an impressive cast of adult actors with two different casts of youngsters, the whole of Oliver! is remarkable, a thoroughly delightful evening of theater that allows those older thespians to show off their talents while showcasing the budding talents of her younger charges, who display stage presence and focus throughout the tune-filled musical. In fact, it is Morton's skilled and practiced eye in regards to casting that really sets this Oliver! apart from any of the others we've seen. Frankly, the woman knows what she's doing.

Oliver! - the Lionel Bart musical about London street urchin Oliver Twist and the scores of ruffians and ragamuffins who make up something of a family for the orphaned boy - opens at Franklin's Boiler Room Theatre on Friday night, running through December 23, offering regional audiences the opportunity to fall in love with the 1960 musical once more.
