The CBS Television Network, home of Super Bowl XLVII, continues its 53rd year broadcasting the NFL with coverage of THE NFL ON CBS on Sunday, Sept. 16 (1:00-7:00 PM, ET) beginning with THE NFL TODAY, the Network's one-hour studio show (12:00 NOON-1:00 PM, ET), live from THE NFL TODAY studio in New York City.

With the first of what will be a number of NFL programming initiatives, CBS Sports Network launches a first-of-its-kind show, NFL MONDAY QB. Highlighted by Super Bowl XLVII on February 3, 2013 from New Orleans, the CBS Television Network marks its 53rd year of coverage of the NFL by broadcasting a total of 105 games during its 17 weeks of regular-season coverage of the NFL's American Football Conference.

Jim Rome has signed a multi-year deal with CBS and will contribute across multiple CBS Corporation platforms. CBS Sports Network will launch ROME, a new half-hour show airing weekdays at 6:00 PM, ET, hosted by Rome. In addition, he will host a new sports and entertainment series on SHOWTIME adding to the premium network's ever-growing sports programming lineup.

The National Football League announced today that CBS has been awarded a new nine-year broadcast rights agreement that runs through the 2022 season. In the new deal, CBS Sports remains the broadcast home of the NFL's American Football Conference (AFC). In addition, as part of the NFL's expanded 'flexible scheduling,' CBS will also broadcast games from the National Football Conference (NFC). This will be the first time CBS will broadcast AFC and NFC matchups in the same season. CBS will broadcast Super Bowl L in 2016, Super Bowl LIII in 2019 and Super Bowl LVI in 2022, in addition to Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans in 2013.
