ANOTHER NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS is a charming new holiday musical written by Sean Grennan and Leah Okimoto, the creators of Married ALIVE! This musical comedy, insightful while also delightfully entertaining, gives us cause to examine our own conscience when it comes to allowing ourselves the indulgence in merriment that the holiday season brings. Karol Elloit, a dispirited social worker, is destined to celebrate another lonely Christmas in her New York apartment.

With his hit show, The Marvelous Wonderettes, still going strong in New York and having just opened in Chicago, writer/director Roger Bean took a break this weekend to come check out the first regional production of his work here in Coral Gables at the Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre.

City Lights Theater Company of San Jose proudly presents the West Coast Premiere of ANOTHER NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS - book and lyrics by Sean Grennan, music by Leah Okimoto . The production previews on Thursday, November 19th and Friday, November 20th, 2009, with the Gala Opening Performance on Saturday, November 21st, 2009. A post-show discussion will be held on November 29th. The production is scheduled to run through December 20th, 2009.

Audiences were treated to a riotous musical about the mayhems of matrimony in the upstairs balcony theatre while Actors' Playhouse received a special gift from long-time sponsor American Express, a $20,000 check in support of the Theatre.

Paul Romero plays 'the Guy' and has worked extensively in regional theatre across the country and on television on programs like Spin City, Law & Order, 100 Centre Street, Chappelle's Show, All My Children, Guiding Light and several late night talk shows. Ashley Puckett Gonzales, who portrays Karol, has many regional credits, including locally at the Jupiter Maltz Theatre as Kathy in 'Full Monty,' has been seen in the 30th Anniversary national tour of 'Annie' and does voice over work for a handful of programs on Cartoon Network. Both actors are making their Gulfshore Playhouse debut.
