Hundreds of middle school students across the country are taking a pledge to be a 'respectful and positive person', to recognize that 'each person is unique,' to 'be more accepting' of people 'and make no snap judgments about them'. And stars of Broadway's family-favorite musical The Addams Family will headline a live national Internet broadcast to 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade classrooms that will encourage and promote students to take the 'No Snap Judgments' pledge. The event takes place on Thursday, October 13th from 11:30AM - 12Noon EDT.

On Sunday, November 6, 2011, Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU), now celebrating its 20th year, will host the 2011 TRU Love Benefit at Caroline's on Broadway (1626 Broadway between 49th and 50th ). The Benefit was created to honor those who have lent standout service to the theatrical community. This year's award recipients are producer Bruce Lazarus; Ben Cameron and the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation; and Lou Rodgers of Golden Fleece Limited.

Camp Broadway®, Broadway's original summer program for theatre loving kids ages 10-17, proudly announces that Pearl Studios NYC, Manhattan's premier studio rental facility, is now the company's year round venue for workshops, camps and special events.

As previously reported, Nederlander Sales & Patron Services, Camp Broadway®, Broadwayworld.com and Planet Hollywood presented the 2nd annual Educators Expo on Monday, September 20 at the Minskoff Theatre. The At This Stage Education Expo showcased the wide variety of educational programs being offered by Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, Times Square area attractions and other industry service organizations. The League of Off-Broadway Theatres and Producers hosted a Season Kickoff Party at Planet Hollywood on September 15, 2008. Actors, producers, playwrights, managers, theatre owners, advertising and marketing professionals and other members of the Off-Broadway community raised a glass to the upcoming season.
