With music and lyrics byIrving Berlin, Gordon Greenberg and Chad Hodge's new book inspired by the Academy Award-winning film, HOLIDAY INN will begin preview performances on September 1, 2016, and open officially on October 6, 2016, on Broadway at Roundabout Theatre Company's Studio 54 (254 West 54th Street). Popular choreographer Al Blackstone, known for his Broadway style routines on So You Think You Can Dance, is excited to be returning for his third season at the Fire Island Dance Festival. Blackstone will be presenting an excerpt from his new work, Freddie Falls In Love, which recently had its premiere at The Pershing Square Signature Center in New York City. The show was also a benefit performance for DRA and Blackstone figured it would be a perfect fit for this year's festival.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director), in association with Universal Stage Productions, just announced complete casting for the first-ever Broadway production of HOLIDAY INN, THE NEW IRVING BERLIN MUSICAL starring Tony Award nominee Bryce Pinkham, Lora Lee Gayer, Tony Award nomineeMegan Lawrence, Megan Sikora, with Corbin Bleu and Tony Award nominee Lee Wilkof. With music and lyrics byIrving Berlin, Gordon Greenberg and Chad Hodge's new book is inspired by the Academy Award-winning film,Holiday Inn.

The world premiere of the new musical ANASTASIA, starring Christy Altomare and Derek Klena, opened May 27 at Hartford Stage. The show plays through June 19. Below, BroadwayWorld brings you a look inside opening night!

Anastasia will be led by Christy Altomare and Derek Klena. Klena and Altomare have worked together before in the revised production of CARRIE off-Broadway, directed by ALLEGIANCE's Stafford Arima. Andrew Lippa's tragic Jazz Age love story The Wild Party follows party girl Queenie (two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster) over the course of one decadent, booze-soaked night as she and her lover Burrs (Steven Pasquale) throw the party to end all parties-with a guest list of vaudevillians, hookers, and a handsome stranger (Brandon Victor Dixon) who offers Queenie the hope of a less tawdry life.
