Comedian Samantha Bee visits the 3rd hour of TODAY to talk about filming “Full Frontal with Samantha Bee” in Hong Kong during the protests. She also talks about finding comedy in the upcoming 2020 election.

A special Sunday original telecast of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” has topped the late-night talk-show week of Oct. 14-18 in adults 18-49 and total viewers, while Monday-through-Friday encore telecasts have led those nights in 18-49 over a mostly original week of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and rebroadcasts of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”

Kevin Reilly, President, TBS, TNT, and truTV, and Chief Content Officer, HBO Max today announced that Brett Weitz, general manager of TBS & TNT will now also take on oversight of truTV, reporting to him. Weitz will manage all three networks and oversee the creative executive teams and development for all three networks in New York and Los Angeles. Concurrently, Thom Hinkle has been upped to head of original content for all three networks.

The Theatre Centre announces COMEDY IS ART, a new Festival in support of comedy and comedians. Celebrating comedy as a recognized art form, COMEDY IS ART takes place from October 1 - 5, 2019 at The Theatre Centre (1115 Queen Street West). Variety reports that family comedy 'The Detour' has been canceled at TBS. The series starred Jason Jones, Natalie Zea, Ashley Gerasimovich, Liam Caroll, and Danielle Pineda; Jones created the show with Samantha Bee.
