Arts on the Horizon, an interactive theatre for children ages zero to six, is excited to announce its 2016 -2017 season. As the first theatre company in the United States to stage completely non-verbal performances for young audiences, Arts on the Horizon shows are performed solely with sound, movement and live music to engage children at any stage of language development and also children whose first language may not be English.

Signature Theatre has announced the cast of WEST SIDE STORY, directed by Signature Associate Artistic Director Matthew Gardiner (Signature's Sunday in the Park with George, Cabaret). The musical, a collaboration of music, dance and theater giants Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim, Jerome Robbins and Arthur Laurents, is considered by some to be one of the greatest musicals of all time. WEST SIDE STORY will run from December 8 - January 24 in Signature Theatre's intimate MAX Theatre.

Arts on the Horizon, the DC metro area's only theatre company exclusively focused on creating original work for children ages 0 - 6, presents Point A to Point B October 9 - 18, 2015 at the W-3 Theatre at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, VA. This world premiere, nonverbal play conceived by David Kilpatrick and directed by Megan Alrutz is inspired by the American on the Move exhibit at the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History.

One of the capital's most beloved annual traditions, the Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) Free For All, and one of William Shakespeare's most beloved plays, A Midsummer Night's Dream, are coming together for a major milestone: Free For All's 25th anniversary. Ethan McSweeny directs a revival of his 2012-2013 STC production, which will run September 1-13 at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW).
