The Fulton Theatre has announced the full cast of the highly awaited American Premiere of its 23/24 Mainstage Season – the production of It Happened in Key West.

 Hit songwriter Desmond Child and Broadway legend Stephen Schwartz hosted “An Intimate Evening of Music and Merriment” to raise funds for The ASCAP Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to supporting music education programs for children, teens and emerging music creators. North Carolina Theatre will present On Your Feet! The Story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan, featuring music produced and recorded by Emilio & Gloria Estefan, directed by, and choreographed by Julio Agustin. Performances will run from August 9- August 14 at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium at Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts.

Changing Channels, by John Reeger, is a story of 1950's television, the Red Scare, and the costs of standing your ground. Peter Bisgaier and Kate Fahrer star as Eddie Gilroy and Maggie Carlin, stars of 'For Pete's Sake' (the play's equivalent of The Honeymooners). When their show gets transferred to the CBS network, everyone involved is destined for fame and fortune, with one small hitch. Maggie is accused (inaccurately) of being a Communist sympathizer during the height of McCarthyism.

Fulton Theatre continues the Ellen Arnold Groff Series produced in the Tell Studio Theater with the World Premiere of Changing Channels. Written by John Reeger (The Man Who Murdered Sherlock Holmes, The Christmas Schooner) the play is set backstage at the DuMont Television Network in New York City. Comedy actress Maggie Carlin has her integrity questioned during Cold War turmoil when actors are being blacklisted for their political beliefs.

Karen Zacarias's hilarious play Destiny of Desire was set to end Milwaukee Rep's 2019/20 Season in the Quadracci Powerhouse. While the hope was to delay the production to June, that option is no longer possible.

Milwaukee Rep has announced the complete cast and creative teams for the final productions of the 2019/20 Season including the world premiere Antonio's Song / I Was Dreaming of a Son by Pulitzer Prize finalist Dael Orlandersmith and Antonio Edwards Suarez in the Stiemke Studio March 24 - April 5, 2020; the world premiere event Hootenanny: The Musicale by celebrated musician David Lutken in the Stackner Cabaret March 27 - May 24, 2020; and the telenovela of passion and deception Destiny of Desire by Karen Zacarías in the Quadracci Powerhouse April 21 - May 17, 2020.

It is a milestone year for The Gateway, and they are celebrating big time. The Bellport venue begins their incredible 70th season with the regional premiere of the Broadway hit On Your Feet!, The Story Of Emilio and Gloria Estefan.
